Mike Draghi enters his eighteenth season as the head coach of the men’s baseball team. Draghi, was named the first head baseball coach in the school’s history in March of 1992, and currently oversees one of the most successful Junior College baseball programs in the nation. During his tenure, the WCCC baseball program has recorded a record of
591-468-2. Among those 500 plus victories are two Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference (WPCC) championships (2001 and 2005), two Pennsylvania Collegiate Athletic Association (PCAA) championships (2001 and 2005), one National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), Region XX championship (2005), one appearance in the NJCAA Division III World Series (2005), and numerous WPCC and NJCAA Region XX runner-up titles.
Prior to developing the WCCC baseball program, Draghi served as the head baseball coach at Greensburg Salem from 1990 – 1992. He has been the head coach of the Greensburg American Legion baseball team (1989 – 1993). Currently, Draghi is in his third season as head coach of the Greensburg Junior American Legion baseball team.
Draghi is a 1984 graduate of Northwestern Oklahoma State University, Alva, Oklahoma, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Physical Education. While at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, Draghi was a four-year member of the baseball team. In 1987, Draghi received his Pennsylvania Teacher Certification from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Currently, Draghi is in his 20th year as a Elementary Health and Physical Education teacher in the Franklin Regional School District.
Draghi resides in Greensburg with his wife Mary Pat, son Nicholas, 17 years old, and step-children Katie, 25 years old and Daniel, 23 years old.
