WCCC to offer Two Job Training Programs at the Armstrong Educational Trust, Kittanning
YOUNGWOOD, PA –Two short-term job training programs will be offered for Armstrong County residents by Westmoreland County Community College in partnership with the Armstrong Educational Trust starting March 25 in Kittanning.
The programs – Business: General Management and Office Administration – can be completed in less than six months with full-time study. Classes will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays only from March 25 through June 3 and from June 10 through August 12. The classes will be held at the Armstrong Educational Trust at 81 Glade Drive, Kittanning.
The business program will provide an overview of general management in an enterprise environment. Graduates may seek positions such as assistant managers, production managers, and department supervisors in large corporations, small businesses and nonprofit organizations.
The office administration program provides a concentration in keyboarding and the Microsoft Office products of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Graduates of this program may seek employment as administrative assistants, office managers, executive secretaries, personnel clerks and word processors.
In both programs, graduates will earn a certificate and the college credits may be applied to the respective WCCC associate in applied science degree or may transfer to four-year colleges.
