APPRISE Health Insurance Counseling at WCCC Education Centers
YOUNGWOOD, PA – Representatives from APPRISE, the state health insurance assistance program, will provide counseling services in November and December at four Westmoreland County Community College education centers.
APPRISE representatives will be at the Bushy Run Education Center, Export, November 5 from 1 to 4 p.m.; Laurel Education Center, Latrobe, November 17 from 9 a.m. to noon; New Kensington Education Center, New Kensington, December 1 from 1 to 4 p.m.; and the Mon Valley Education Center, Belle Vernon, December 3 from 9 a.m. to noon.
APPRISE provides free, unbiased and confidential counseling services regarding Medicare services, health care and prescription drug plans. Counselors can also provide information on low-income assistance programs that may assist with Medicare payments.
The APPRISE program is funded, in part, under a contract with the Westmoreland Board of County Commissioners, the Westmoreland County Area Agency on Aging and the Department of Aging.
